Exercises with best activation for the glutes are those who isolates it and don’t support other muscle groups. To activate these muscles, you need to assume the function of it and then connect it with a movement. In this video I show you a few exercises that you can try to get volume to your upper part of your glutes:
1. Hip Raises 4x20.
2. Glutes bridges 4x20.
3. Kickbacks  4x15 each leg.
4. Side lifts on all four 4x12 each leg.
5. Cable squat with isolation 4x15.

Happy Wednesday everyone! Not such a happy day for me though... I have strep throat and have been in bed all day  I’m out of the gym today and tomorrow at least, but thankfully I filmed my leg workout from yesterday! So here it is:

This whole workout was done with just 2 sets of dumbbells - I used 10s and 25s but adjust as needed. Everything was done 4 x 15. 
_
1️⃣ RDL superset with...
2️⃣ wide stance squat with 2 pulses. 
3️⃣ reverse lunge into step up with knee raise (first 10 reps) then curtsy squat to step up with knee raise (5 reps).
4️⃣ hamstring curl superset with...
5️⃣ raises froggie pumps. 
6️⃣ calf raises - 2 sets with neutral feet, 1 set toes pointing out, 1 set toes pointing in. •

Hip dips are something we all have. Some show more than others, genetics play a big part but like any other area you can grow the muscles surrounding to help shape/sculpt your body.
These are my top 5 favourite workouts for hip dips with resistance bands, easy to do at home or the Gym. (I’ll be following up soon with my top 5 weighted exercises for hip dips too). I aimed for 3x20 each exercise with minimal rest. If it feels too easy for you, try a stronger resistance band. -Fire hydrants

It’s amazing what you can do with one band!!  This might look fun and easy but looks can be deceiving  Harder than I thought! When traveling it can be so expensive or inconvenient to get to a gym each day so using resistance bands can be an awesome way to still get a full body session in  ⁣

Here are some of my fave back workouts 
1️⃣ barbell bent over row 3X10
- Stand shoulder width apart and bend your knees slightly. Keeping a straight/ flat back, let the barbell hang in your hands. Lift the barbell up to your belly button and squeeze your back at the top. Really focus on using your back muscles to lift the weight 
2️⃣ super set wide grip lat pull down with close grip lat pull down 3X10
-keep your feet flat on the ground. With a wide grip, bring the weight down and try to keep your shoulders down. A wide grip will target more of your outter lat. Same idea for the close grip lat pull down, just change the position of your hands. The close grip will target more of your middle lat/ back. 
3️⃣single arm cable lat pull down 3X10 each arm
-this will be a similar stance to the barbell bent over row. Stand shoulder width apart with a slight bend at the knees. With your back straight, grab the handle and bring the weight down to your side. Focus on stretching your back out when you bring it back up. 
4️⃣ dumbbell bent over row 3X10
-if you are working on your right side, keep your right leg down for support and put the other leg on the bench. Make sure your back is FlAT! Not rounded or curved or whatever else some people may do. Look forward and bring the weight up and squeeze your back at the top. Come all the way down and repeat

It’s Kettlebell time! Here’s another full body workout mixing strength, balance and a bit of cardio. The first two exercises uses the addition of #Glidingdiscs but you can modify the same movement without. Do 45-60 seconds of each with 20-30 second break in between sets.  Shoot for  2-3 rounds. Alternate Front Lunges w/KB Figure 8 Pass.

I’m so fed up with putting myself on the back burner, just because I’m scared to make an investment in myself. I briefly talked about this on my story the other day, but boy is it one thing about myself that pisses me off. I work hard every single day, to make a really good living for myself… But I’ve always been so terrified put that back into myself.

I’ve only ever once made a really big investment in myself, and when I did boy the return was absolutely incredible.

Actually spent the past few days prior ties in buying things for myself, doing things for myself that I generally wouldn’t. And I can’t tell you how much right now I’ve regretted not doing that all along.

Don’t wait for the right time to invest in yourself, because it’s never going to come. Take a chance with opportunity… because if you wait and push it off, not only made it not be there in the future, but when you actually grab for it, you realize you Already could’ve been way ahead of where you are now.

Well, the wrist is still out but that doesn't mean I can't get a good leg day in! The good news is that there doesn't seem to be a fracture although I haven't gone in for an x-ray yet. But it's looking like some tendon or ligament damage. The doc ‍️said I need to rest it for 2-4 weeks but can start lifting light at about 1 1/2.️‍️ I've been finding other ways to work out while it heals but found it hard to not accidentally put some strain on the wrist doing something else.

In the past, this is just the type of thing that i would use as an excuse to be lazy and slack off. Obviously there's a difference between giving the body some time to rest and heal, and slacking off, it's just up to us individually to honestly differentiate between the 2.🤔

Yesterday I tried out a new form of shoulder lateral raises and omggggg They burn soooo good!!!
:
Shoulder Superset: 4 sets
️Bench Pause Side Lateral Raises: 10-12 reps
You’ll need to go lighter on these because they’re really tough!
Start with the dumbbells resting on the bench then complete one rep of side lateral raises and lower it back down to rest on the bench
The dumbbells need to actually touch the bench and rest there for a second before you can move onto the second rep!!! Really focus on form! ️Y- Side Lateral Raises: 10-12 reps
Stand up to do these

Easy peasy home chest/arm workout this morning, using only a chair, perfect for those hotel room workouts 
Upper body is my hardest body part to train as it hurts sooo much cause silly me didn’t train upper body for two years  I’m working on 5 self pull-ups at the moment at the gym ‍️ -

Same but different 🤩 Little ab and booty burner exercises you can do at the end of a workout to get your sweat on  I like doing a super hard exercise before I stretch and cool down to get that little bit of extra burn... -

1️⃣ Plank Toe Taps 
2️⃣ Mountain Climbers
3️⃣ Donkey Kick Variations 
I still have bad days where I don’t want to go to the gym because I feel as though I look ‘too big’ or ‘not shredded enough’... today is one of those days  Another reason to go to the gym and smash a workout in, to get closer to my goals everyday  Wearing @gymshark as per usual 🤓

Upper bod day today  my weak little arms struggle soo much but the burn is so good  
Here’s a snippet of my workout today: 
1️⃣ Bicep Curl (20 reps x 2 sets) 
2️⃣ Single Arm Bicep Curl (20 reps x 2 sets) 
3️⃣ Tricep Extensions (I suck at these) (20 reps x 2 sets) 
4️⃣ Overhead Press (20 reps x 2 sets) 
I am cutting so I’m focusing on lighter weights and higher reps now! 
I am about 2 years behind in training with upper body cause silly me only focused on working out my legs and butt for 2 years but it feels so good to be strong in your arms
